Spin Master® Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how Spin Master Ltd. and its affiliates (“Spin Master”, “we”, “our,” “us”) collect, use, or disclose personal information through its websites that link to this Policy (the “Sites”). By interacting with our Sites, you consent to these practices.

As used in this Policy, the term “personal information” means information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual. Personal information does not include information that is publicly available, deidentified, anonymized, or aggregated.
You can review your child’s information by contacting us at dpo@spinmaster.com. You may also request that we no longer collect information from your child or have your child’s information deleted. To do so, contact us at the email address or phone number below.

We have created a dedicated Children's Privacy Policy that governs all child-directed sections of our Sites. This policy outlines our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information from children. Read our child-friendly policy here: Spin Master Kids' Privacy Policy.
We collect what is reasonably necessary for kids to participate on our Sites. This might include gender and age, as well as an email address. We may also collect usernames or chat logs.
We collect parents’ email addresses. We may collect this from the child or the parent. We also collect information if your child contacts us. If your child contacts us, we may send the child a one-time response and delete the child’s online contact information from our records promptly after we have sent the response. If your child uses our sites, we may collect information about the browser or network used, device information, or user’s IP address. We might look at what site your child came from or visits next. We may collect passive information about what activity your child did or how long they played.
We collect parents’ email addresses. We may collect this from the child or the parent. We also collect order information from parents or other consumers for purchases made on our Sites or when placing an item in a shopping cart, including products ordered, cardholder and banking information, including, without limitation, card numbers, bank account numbers, contact information (such as full name, mailing address, billing address, email address, and telephone number), information about the cardholder’s device that is used to complete the transactions (such as device fingerprint), and other information necessary to fulfill a transaction. We will also collect login information when customers register for an account on our Site. When registered consumers return to our Site to place subsequent orders, they can identify themselves with their login information.
If you use our Sites, we may collect information about the browser or network used, device information, or IP address. We might look at what site you or your child came from or visit next. We may collect passive information about what activity you did or how long the child played.
Unless permitted by law, we use children’s information after obtaining parental consent. In some cases, we may not request parental consent, such as when we use the information one time to respond to a direct request or when using information obtained from a child to get parental consent. We also use children’s information as described in any request for parental consent.
We use email addresses to notify parents or guardians that their children have registered on our site. We may also use your email address to communicate about your child’s account. We may contact you about this Policy or our website Terms.
The following Spin Master services have been certified compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by FTC approved COPPA safe harbor PRIVO.
These sites are for a general audience and are not directed to children. They do not contain content or an experience for children.
These sites may share personal information with the third party service providers. You can find out more about these service providers here.

Vidathevet.com and unicornacademy.com are mixed audience websites with an experience for children 12 or under. These websites allow child users to watch videos, read news, download coloring pages, find detailed information about characters or how to play the game.
Vidathevet.com and unicornacademy.com do not actively or directly collect personal information from children. However, our service providers do collect some technical information about the browser or network used, device information, user’s IP address, information about what activities a child has engaged in or how long the child played. It is important to keep any information we collect safe and secure. For more information on our security practices see section 11.
We work with the following service providers to enhance children's experiences on our Sites. These providers do not share user data with third parties. The information collected is not used to contact or profile the child or for behavioral advertising.

The Program applies to the digital properties listed on the validation page that is viewable by clicking on the PRIVO GDPRkids™ Verified Shield. The PRIVO GDPRkids™ Privacy Assured Program supports child directed services known as Information Society Services under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), to comply with the requirements of this legislation. It impacts any child directed service in an EU Member State and any service globally that collects and or processes the personal data of children and minors. There is no safe harbor for the GDPR to date, but to ensure this company's services meet the program requirements, we conduct regular monitoring and consulting.
Directly from you. For example, when you visit our Sites, make an online purchase through our Sites, contact us, sign up for email or text communications, register and create an account, submit a form, enter promotions and sweepstakes, contact customer service, participate in surveys and quizzes, submit a product idea or review, upload content such as photographs and comments to our Sites or to any of our social media sites, register a product through our Sites, click-through or engage with Spin Master content which is displayed on a third-party platform, or otherwise interact with us.
Through tracking technology vendors. For example, via cookies and other tracking technologies as described in our Cookies & Similar Technologies webpage.
From other parties. For example, our vendors and partners. We may also obtain your personal information from other consumers such as when they ship you a gift.
Below are the categories of personal information we collect. Note that the personal information we collect about you may vary depending on the nature of your interactions with us and may not include all of the examples listed below.
Spin Master may combine information about you that we have collected with information we obtain from other parties in accordance with this Policy.

From time to time, we may enter into a special relationship with another company that is not owned by or affiliated with us to provide additional features on the Sites. These special relationships may include business partners, sponsors, and co-branded sites (referred to here as co-branded pages). Any information, including personal information, that you provide on one of these co-branded pages, may be collected, used, and disclosed by us to these partners. By participating in activities or providing your information on these co-branded pages, you consent to our providing your information to those partners. We will share children’s information if required by law. We will also share it if Spin Master transfers ownership or with vendors who help us operate our Sites.
We may engage vendors to provide certain interactive features on our Sites. Your use of these interactive features is voluntary, and we may retain the information that you submit through these features. Certain interactive features may allow you to share content to your social media profile or submit content to us such as product reviews, photographs, and videos. We may also enable access to, or display of, content served and published by other parties. Additionally, we may link to other online services that we do not maintain or control.
When submitting information through an interactive feature provided by a vendor, or when visiting another online service, you are subject to that vendor's terms of use and privacy notice. You should review those privacy notices to understand how these parties may use or disclose your personal information. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of any linked websites that we do not control. This Policy does not apply to online services that we do not control or maintain.
We may operate sweepstakes, contests, raffles, and similar promotions (each, a “promotion”), including promotions that are jointly sponsored or offered by other parties. Participating in a promotion may require submitting personal information. If you choose to participate in a promotion, your personal information may be disclosed to these parties as described in the terms applicable to that promotion.

If you signed up for our email marketing communications, you may opt out at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in the body of the emails. Note that regardless of your email marketing preferences, we may still send you transactional emails about your account, orders, or other required communications such as a product recall notification.
You can control if we share information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Your browser may give you the ability to control cookies. How you do so depends on the type of cookie. Certain browsers can be set to reject browser cookies. To control flash cookies, which we may use on certain websites from time to time, you can go here. Why? Because flash cookies cannot be controlled through your browser settings. If you block cookies or enable your browser’s “do not track” settings, certain features on our sites may not work.
We keep your personal information for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, which generally means holding the personal information for as long as one of the following apply:

For example, this may happen where any of our servers are hosted by one of our Spin Master offices outside of the EEA, or one of our service providers is located in a country outside of the EEA. We may also share information between our group companies which are located in countries worldwide. We sell and/or share this personal information with third-party advertisers and some analytics vendors. The purposes for which we sell and/or share this information include showing you relevant ads while you browse the internet or use social media, marketing, finding individuals who may be interested in our products, certain types of analytics, or similar purposes. We do not have actual knowledge that we sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16 years of age.

California residents have certain rights relating to their personal information as described below. California Minors. Any California residents under the age of 18 who have registered to use our Sites and who posted content or information on the Sites can request removal by contacting us at dpo@spinmaster.com detailing where the content or information is posted and attesting that you posted it. We will then make reasonably good faith efforts to remove the post from prospective public view or anonymize it, so the minor cannot be individually identified to the extent required by applicable law. This removal process cannot ensure complete or comprehensive removal. For instance, third parties may have republished or archived content by search engines and others that we do not control.

We reserve the right to make changes to this Policy. Whenever we decide to update this Policy, notice of the change will be indicated by the Effective Date at the top of this Policy. These changes will take effect immediately upon posting. By continuing to use the Sites following such changes, you will be deemed to have agreed to such changes. If you do not agree to the changes in our Policy, it is your responsibility to stop using our Sites. It is your obligation to ensure that you read, understand, and agree to the latest version of the Policy.
